Tim Hutchinson is a Sydney based artist who has exhibited annually since 1999. The majority of his work gains it’s inspiration from the Australian landscape with a strong emphasis on pleine air painting. Immersing himself within the landscape allows him to respond to the energy, immediacy and physicality of the environment. This immersion is characterized within the work through the use of rich impasto, gestural brushwork and rich colour.
Hutchinson is recognized both for his interpretations of the Australian bush and urban environments. His work is represented in many corporate and private collections throughout Australia, Japan and USA and Europe.
